Expectant Parents

You may print out these questions and take them with you to ask a candidate pediatrician. We have answered the questions to help you differentiate DOCTORS FOR KIDS from other practices to make it easier for you to make the right choice for your baby. Dr. Mavani is available for "Meet The Dr" appointments to answer more detailed questions you might have. Pediatrician Background, Credentials, Experience, Support Services

Our philosophy is that good health starts in infancy and prevention is the best medicine. We also believe that an open trusting patient physician relationship is essential for patient care. We believe that a physician’s bedside manner is as important as the medicines she or he prescribes. Dr. Mavani has a more integrated approach with an interest in integrative medicine especially.

Dr. Mavani trained at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, one of the best programs in the country and is board certified in pediatrics.

Dr. Mavani is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Board of Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Mavani have been in practice for 20 years.

Dr Mavani is particularly interested in newborn management and treatment of chronic conditions like allergies and asthma. She likes to use evidence based medicine for conditions such as allergies and is also certified in integrative medicine.

We are affiliated with The Beaumont Hospitals at Troy and Royal Oak and Crittenton Hospital.

All of the hospitals have 24-hour on call pediatric hospitalists who will examine the baby immediately after birth if there is a complication.  We will see the baby at our office once the baby is discharged from the hospital.

We don’t believe there are ”little things.” Experience has taught me that parents are usually thoughtful and kind and respect the physician’s private time except when they truly feel they need to call.
